No problem Sarah. Just saw Twitter update by Reed Timer that a tornado has been spotted in Western Cheyenne County. We are about 35 miles north of there!

We are at a rest stop & I just re-read the tweet - the tornado warning is for western Cheyenne County, CO until 3:15 MDT. Tornado confirmed SW of Kit Carson.

There are several Severe Weather alert apps out there for smart phones. Great tool to have when weather is problematic. Most are free.

SKP426, we are trying to get to Minneapolis, MN by the 1st, but they are under a severe weather threat until Mon. Decided to just hang back a couple of days - tomorrow we are taking a side trip to see some former co-workers in northern Co. If you can't beat em, join em! : )

Spent 6 weeks crossing the continent , a few years back , looking forward to fall colors on the east coast... only to arrive there between two hurricanes .
I thought there were forum rules against 4 letter words like W....

Canadian weather network showing more severe t/storms in the Great Lakes area, north & south of the border. Might be a good idea to hold off traveling till late next week , going to take a while for this mess to dry up. Video they're showing from the area is nasty, storm produced several tornados in Alberta.

You all be safe !!!! We got caught in a freak storm in Oklahoma last year on the way home from AZ... After 2 days of fighting 50+ mph wind gusts, (I have a big piece of tumble weed in the shop from that) we woke up to freezing rain at a little KOA just west of OK City... Power went out,, had to go break the ice off the genny grill, but it started right up... Kept us warm and powered till traffic started moving on I40.... Take care,,, Monkey

Flooding in Southern Manitoba, severe t/storms in Southern Sask. Storms moving across the border, into the Dakotas, later today. Doesn't look like good traveling weather in the area any time soon.
