Driving home from Myrtle beach on a newly paved highway caught up to a DP bounder they let their right side drop off onto the undone side the front came back but it was like his rear was stuck going down the road sideways. I did not think they would ever get it back up. I bet his was hanging on and drawn up tight.

Been there done that sort of.. I cheated though.. (Kept control and no tow trucks needed)

Actually some very expensive crane services likely got him back on the road, and KOLES sold him new underwear (or some other store)

IN my case (I drive a gasser) I went a bit too far right on a Kentucky road, They believe in DITCHES there.. However I noticed in a flash that the other side of the ditch was on the level with the shoulder I ran off.. So went even farther right, That way the inertia was in my favor instead of rollover city.. Ran up the other side of the ditch and straddled it till I got to a culvert crossover, Crossed back over and on down the road.

Clean undies... Well, Mine survived. Not so sure about co-pilot's.

My experience with the rear tire in a ditch is somewhat different. We were in Waveland Mississippi after Katrina doing some volunteer work. We got there in January and were given a RV site donated by the Silver-slipper Casino at their camp ground right on the Gulf .Most days were cold or raining so we went through propane pretty quick. There is a place not far away on on the main drag. Unhooked and everyone went for a ride. It was a right turn in heavy traffic into the driveway the rear wheel road over the grass next to the asphalt ground was very soft and the tire started sinking I hit the gas to get trough it WRONG MOVE. The duals started to slip into the ditch. The drivers side front wheel came off the ground, DW is screaming ,dog barking and I'm sitting there with panicked. look on my face, it finally settled on the frame after a few deep breaths I got.out. Down hard on the frame in front of the rear wheels. I tried blocking up the jack to lift it enough to block up the tires. just pushed the blocks into the mud. Called for a wrecker. % Minutes and $250 later I was back on the road. Talked to the driver, he said he had pulled quit a few rig out of that ditch. OK Iv'e now confessed my most embarrassing moment with the RV.

I was at a campground winter before last, Some bright bean counter got the idea of using asphalt to pave the sites insted of concerte (you gonna set 12+ ton of Class A on an asphapt pad in SC in August.. NOT if you like the pad you don't)

Well one camper got a bit close to the edge nad id dropped him in right next to the power box.. Now the bow was about 1/16" from his tire, he could neither move forward nor badk but a few inches without doing major damage to his rig (The box was INSIDE the wheel well)

We rocked him back and forth, saming 2x and 4x's under his wheels till he came up enough to clear the box and center properly on the site.

I'd love to asphalt that bean counter.

We cleaned out the slab wood stock of about 3 RV's getting him out of that hole. Mine included (I have 4x4's)
