Being of Native American heritage, I find this one amusing.

Boston Mass has a current law on the books,...........

No Indians allowed in the city limits.

OK OK I aint coming there then.

One of my favorites was the sign on the Courthouse lawn in Norfolk, Va...
"Sailors and dogs Stay OFF THE GRASS"

Any forum members here in that area now...let me know if that "fair city" has reconsidered that... those poor dogs didnt do anything wrong !

I do NOT suffer from mental illness, but rather enjoy it daily !

Playboy magazine used to run a regular "Silly Laws" feature.. (Note, never had to buy that mag, often found it lying about)

I recall Three Rivers Michigan it's illegal to back up an automobile.

There was a note in our local paper saying that on 8/1, the state would start implementing the over 550 laws the state legislature passed this last year. That's part of the problem WAY too many laws being passed, most neither needed or wanted.

A Washington state law:

When two trains come to a crossing, neither shall go until the other has passed.

Flordia state Law:

You may not fart in a public place after 6 P.

South Carolina:

It is perfectly legal to beat your wife on the court house steps on Sundays.

Many ridiculous laws get passed because some legislator had a personal peeve. Many that are on the books already are from the distant past and are just no longer relevant.

For many years in the UK, it was not illegal exposure for men to urinate in public provided they did it on the left rear wheel of a vehicle. This went back to an incident on Queen Victoria's Jubilee parade. The left postillion (the guy on the post over the left back wheel) didn't get a chance to go to the head before the 9-hour parade started. He held things in until he had a ruptured bladder and died of peritonitis. The Queen got that law passed in his memory.

Well on one of the very first pages is an Index.. Beyond that. As I said, I never bought one, always found 'em lying about till the company got on a "Sexual Harassment" kick and then they were not lying around the office so i'e not seen one in over 20 years.
