I joined my local PWP and am looking forward to going on their next outing.

It is a great organization for single parents that want support and to develop friendships for themselves and their child(ren).

Welcome to irv2. I'm sure we have other single parents here as well. Please continue to share your experiences with the site.

I was a PWP member for 5 years. A great support group!

I was in PWP for twenty years. Kids grew up there. In the summer time we went camping once a month. Kids remember the camping the most. Chapters closed and I didn't like getting dressed up to go out, so I quit going. Had a great time while we were there.

Thanks for all the kind words for Parents Without Partners. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary this July in New York. I am a former International Board member and the current President of the Houston chapter. We still go camping once a month and welcome anyone to join us. Our chapter website is www.pwphouston.org. Please contact me if you would like more information.
