If you follow the rest of the play that was not broadcast, the ref's call the play back, as being illegal, I forget why I was laughing to hard. according to CNN.

Any one know why it is an illegal play?

Come on you arm chair referees.

I am not really a foot ball fan so I am not familiar with rules as such. I believe this is the play I saw on tv several times last nite. To my knowledge it counted as a ''touchdown'' and was not deemed an illegal play. As my memory recalls wasn't there a play called the 'Quarterback, shoe string play?" I think it involved the quarter back acting like he needed to tie his shoe without calling time out and he squats down and they hand him the ball and he ran like hell?" (someone help me on this pls)...... Anyhow. these guys formed in two lines and the quarterback was handed the ball by the center and he penetrated the opponents line and ran for a touchdown. Nothing wrong with that but I bet they cant pull it off twice....

Remember Veterans day guys ...... THEY GAVE US OUR FREEDOMS ......

Follow the links in the first and second paragraph and the refs declare the play legal.

I've also read that there is a section in the rules that states it has to be a quick hand-off. There was nothing quick about it. However, I hope the play stands.

.
I called a friend today that has some experience in this sort of stuff...Jerry Markbreit and he says it would be a legal play in the NFL. I suggest the Dallas Cowboys consider trying it whether its run quick or slow.

It couldn't turn out any worse than what they've been doing up to this point.

The Texans could add it to their play book as well.

The thing is, I don't follow nor normally care about football. BUT, I do like to see a fun or unusual play. Thanks.

One play I remember well had the team throwing their quarterback (with ball in arms) over the opposing team and into the end zone. Yep, it counted.

I live in Arizona. Our (name unmentioned) team often chooses to forfeit their right to play. Perhaps this video could give them some ideas. What can I say?

If you watched yesterday, the Cowboys came to play and the Giants couldn't handle them. 33-20, Go Cowboys.
