So - up for the season to start!

I'm still a "working stiff" for many more years to come, but really enjoyed the sunshine in the Pacific Northwest this weekend. Enough so that I stopped by one of our favorite campgrounds (currently closed) and scoped out our spot we will enjoy for part of July. First camp out for us is march. Can't wait - we've already booked places in March, April, May, July, August and September.

How are others prepping for the 2013 season?

We are talking about our first weekend (in March) to the Syracuse dog show. Last year it was in the eighties, we had to run the air and genny. Never know, could still be snow this year. Looking forward to it though. Be nice to get out and use the motorhome.

While the northern states are buried in an Arctic blast this week, Southern Nevada is enjoying temperatures in the mid-sixties So today, I am off to the Valley of Fire State Park to camp for a couple of days. They have a upgraded their facilities to include electric and water hook ups in some of the spaces. The Valley of Fire is beautiful this time of year when we get a high pressure system over the area.

Let the 2013 Camping Season begin...

It's camping season year round here in Kansas. We are camping as I speak here at the casino in Wichita. Got down to 18 last nite, but never lower then 42 in the wet bay as I have indoor outdoor thermo in the bay. we have camped every month except for DEC since we got the rig in July. It has been very mild here this Winter with highs in the sixties this last weekend. We were just to busy in DEC or we would of went then. We just love global warming!

Next trip for us is April. That's my next time off work. Might go back to AZ to visit friends/family. We (my boy Oliver and I ) took the mh around the neighborhood yesterday just to exercise it and the jenny. He (5 yr old Dane) Loves to go camping...

We bought our MH back in October and have been dieing to use it. We've been going over every couple of weekend to fix this or that. I'm hoping we can get out in March or April for a shake down run.

Jack - we had the same thing last year. Upgraded our RV in early November of 2011. Ended up camping on MLK weekend in an ice storm. Was able to test out all systems except water - had to do that in February before the 90 day guarantee expired.
