Do we have troops stationed in Israel or Egypt to protect their country and people?

Do we have troops in other countries?

Yes 150 countries have troops STATIONED there.

There are no troops in Israel and Egypt.

So if you include foreign aid , how about including the costs of all troops in all countries when you figure foreign aid. (Germany has over 60,000 troops there, what do you think that cost us each year?) Howa bout making Germany send us a check for that.

A lot of the foreign aid we give is in the form of weapons and food. Food being the bigger when it comes to necessity. The govt pays farmers to grow food, and pays them not to grow food. Then the food is sent to foreign countries and counted as foreign aid.

We dont just write checks or send cash, Except for Iraq and Afghan, where that is the most common pratice.

Aid

Israel receives a tremendous amount of US aid. Billions in loan guarantees, military aid, and the supplying of weapons that US taxpayers pay for. Far outshadows any other country.

Politics aside, Israel could not survive as a country without the weapons (including nukes), oil, and economic subsidy the US provides.

If the US stopped supporting Israel as an ally their enemies would overrun them in a few weeks. Solid army with outstanding soldiers but they just don't have enough men or material.....

And what would the middle east be like if that happened?

I read a plan to give stimulus aid directly to heads-of-households. Give each one, 1 million dollars, with the stipulations as follows: 1, they must buy a new car_ auto companies crisis solved; 2. They must pay off any and all debts, debt crisis solved; They must buy a new house and pay cash_ housing crisis solved. This was based on 300 million heads-of-households in the U.S.A., much less money than the bail-out consumed.
Sounds good on the surface, but what happens after all that? Who is left to buy a car, or house? What happens to the workers when no more cars or houses are needed?

A whole lot of green glass, similar to that found at the Trinity site.

Faulty

FYI

300 million times 1 million is...

300,000,000,000,000 or 300 trillion dollars - a little more than the bailout

So midniteoyl, you think we should foot the complete bill for our troops in Germany's ?

COUNTRY AID PURPOSE 1. Israel $2.4 billionVirtually all of this money is used to buy weapons (up to 75% made in the U.S.). Beginning in 2009, the U.S. plans to give $30 billion over 10 years
.2. Egypt $1.7 billion$1.3 billion to buy weapons; $103 million for education; $74 million for health care; $45 million to promote civic participation and human rights.
3. Pakistan $798 million$330 million for security efforts, including military-equipment upgrades and border security; $20 million for infrastructure.
4. Jordan $688 million$326 million to fight terrorism and promote regional stability through equipment upgrades and training; $163 million cash payment to the Jordanian government
.5. Kenya $586 million$501 million to fight HIV/AIDS through drug treatment and abstinence education and to combat malaria; $15 million for agricultural development; $5.4 million for programs that promote government accountability.
6. South Africa $574 million$557 million to fight TB and HIV/AIDS; $3 million for education.
7. Mexico $551 millionClick here for details.
8. Colombia $541 millionClick here for details.
9. Nigeria $491 millionClick here for details.
10. Sudan $479 millionClick here for details

Ya think Pakistan and Mexico deserve it.
