It's probably about the same amount of gas per trip. Most MH trips are longer.

I just tell people that I want gas to hit $10 per gallon so I can drive 100 on the freeway because 80% of the traffic will be gone. (100 in my car, not MH)

I have a plate on the front of my motorhome that answers all their stupid questions. It says "IF YOU CAN'T RUN WITH THE BIG DOGS, STAY ON THE PORCH".

Why choose to get caught up in all the negative stuff that goes on around us? I try not to.

The question I get most often is at the pump "how much does it cost to fill that up?" I answer truthfully and the majority of the time their reaction is one of being thankful they have a smaller tank to fill.

My being there that particular day helped to provide them with a perspective that makes them feel better about their situation.

Its my little gift to them.

P.s. Not sitting on a seat someone pissed all over is my BIG gift to me!

2 cents worth

i've heard all the noise about what are you going to do with gas so high, bad timing on the r v etc. we finally broke down and started taking vacations about ten years ago ,we're getting older if not now , then when will we ever get around to it , we try to do a small vacation one year and a bigger one the next.
figuring what we spent and then translate that into fuel we can drive alot and still stay in our budget especially if we stay within 500 miles or so.
most of our use will be 50 or 60 miles one way so it is a great investment for us.
most of the nay sayers haven't figured out life is short and memories and fun are very important to make and have.

best wishes frank, cricket and our spoiled furry child harley

Fuel up today no one said anything, but when I pulled away a man came over to look at my pump from 3 lanes over to see how much was on my pump. A lot of good it did I reset the pump three times at $100.
