Space Shuttle Endeavor arriving in Houston.
A photo of the Endeavor arriving in Houston on 19 SEP 2012.
Fantastic fly over for Houston. Houston may not have received a shuttle, but we all know the first words from the moon...
"Houston....'
And when there was a problem.....
"Houston, we have a problem....."
Never heard...New York city we have a problem.

GEE-OR-JUS !!!!
ABSOLUTELY STUNNINGLY bad decision NOT to put one in Houston IMHO... hasn't Houston's nickname been Space City for decades ?!?!
and the Cali people getting one are complaining about having to cut some tress to get it to it's final location...
just because they DID build it, they can't have it
sorry for the hijack !

Nice shot of the shuttle.
Back in the day (I'm not admitting how long ago that was), when Ellington AFB was still semi-active, it was a common sight to see all the NASA related flight crews and aircraft. Yes, "Houston. . . " anything should have indicated where one of those shuttles should have settled. After all, isn't the main entrance filled with examples of every other space related airframe we've ever put into orbit?
I guess the politicians just didn't want to give Texans one more thing to brag about.

Yes, really cool picture. Especially touching was when the The Space Shuttle Endeavour as it passes over Tucson on Thursday. Endeavour flew over Tucson to honor former US Republican Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and her husband, Mark Kelly, who commanded Endeavour’s final mission to space in May 2011. Commander Kelly looked over at Gabby and said "That's my spaceship".
Thanks for the picture Ken
