Speed talkers

Remember the guy that used to be called the fastest talker alive? Well.....I believe he has some pretty stiff competition from these kids behind almost any retail register or order taker in any drive up. I just can't hear that fast!!!!

I've found that the fairer sex with a chirping, nasal, valley girl accent confuses my ears - especially if I've forgotten to 'install' my hearing aids. It's all a part of our aging and the inability to cope as fast as we used to.

Now, what was that subject again?

The older I get the worse the problem seems to get.

I tried to watch " Garbage talk with Katie Nolan " I enjoyed what I could understand, but most of the time I couldn't understand a word she was saying.

Maybe I need something that I could watch it in slow motion.

And I thought it was just me. Maybe it's the high concentration of C02 in the atmosphere that causes this condition. Climate Change.
There Otta be a tax for that....

This is when you turn on Closed Captions and read fast instead of trying to listen fast.

I agree. I ask them if they could repeat that, if it happens again, I ask them again and again until they slow down and talk normally.
