The simple solution is to stop at stop signs and red lights as the law requires and you don't have to worry about them.

In Las Vegas the school district is starting a program to put cameras on school buses to catch drivers who fail to stop when the school bus is loading/unloading children.

Not being up on a pole would make it easy to mess with and I'm sure somebody would eventually .

Yep, exactly what I've found. It works 100% of the time even though I've about been rear ended a few times when people behind me wanted to follow me through and I stopped instead!

My only vehicle accident,-- On my motorcycle, I decided to stop for a red light, pickup truck behind decided to run the light. Found out how the hockey puck feels...

Discussion here in Florida about municipalities shortening the yellow light period as part of the camera contract.

Near me in NY there is a Left Turn lane arrow that regularly gets blown through by 2 or 3 cars each cycle when traffic is heavy. It is seriously dangerous, and I would like to see them install a camera there.

If these devices are properly installed at fairly timed lights, I have no problem with their use. When they are unfair and just used for revenue, then vandals are welcome in my book.

There have been many court cases involving enforcement cameras.. Sometimes the camera wins, sometimes the defendant wins.. There are legal issues with cameras.

However. as someone else said, STOP, at the stop sign, and then look and proceed when and if safe.

At red lights wait for the green (Unless turning right) THEN look and proceed if/when safe. If you are turning right (or left onto a one way to the left street) check state law first.
