Storming Area 51

Alrighty folks, so anyone here going to storm Area 51? I know, I know. But now they are going to make it another burning man type event in the desert. The wife has been nudging me to go. Just to watch the craziness of the storming area 51 concept. But now they got approved for a burning man type music venue. I knew someone would figure out how to make a buck off of it!

Hmmmm, It would seem to me that "charging" a secure area where deadly force is authorized and guarded by a bunch of 19 and 20 year olds hyped up on hormones and pimple cream would be a very Darwinian thing to do. Make sure you do the naruto run so the 5.56 rounds chasing you at 3200 ft/s can't catch you !!

Some people will have a lot of fun, some will get arrested or maybe even shot (the military ain't fooling about deadly force if someone gets too close), and most will get sunburned, dehydrated and hungry because they didn't prepare. Then the media will interview tearful attendees who will blame the town, the county, the feds and local businesses for not doing more to aid them in their idiocy. As you have probably guessed by now, they won't get any sympathy from me.

It will be just great for those who want to find out how a Tazer feels, rubber bullet's, and hand cuff's cutting into your wrist's..........Sounds fun!
Been by the area, truck's on all the hill top's, camera's all over.......Watching the entire place.......outside the fence!

I have a neighbor I'd buy a one way ticket for to the fest. I even have a T shirt with a bullseye on the back he could wear.

She just wants to see the mayhem. I mean come on, their logo is "they can't catch us all " for Pete's sake! Reading the articles on the music festival the authorities say it will give the masses something to do instead of getting in trouble. I don't have any interest in a burning man type event or trying to storm a military base. But its funny listening to those who think they have even a minute chance of getting in and finding aliens. By the way, they are labeling the music event alien fest!

You think they would have planned the stormin' for cooler weather.

Reminds me of a cute saying I heard a few days ago:
"If you play stupid games, don't be surprised if you get a stupid prize."

The sarcasm in my post may have been missed!

It’s a Darwinian thing to follow through on what they say that they’re planning to do.

Cheers 🍷
