Dumbest question ever was checking in to the maternity ward in full blown, just shoot me now, labor. There was a form (there's always a form) and they went down the list asking the questions: Name, address, gender... (yup, really), allergies, are you pregnant...

I answered "no" in jest and the receptionist just kept on... current medications, emergency contact, reason for visit.

My answer: full day of beauty spa package.

The receptionist: Oh - I'm sorry ma'am, the day spa is on the next block.

It was raining this AM when a Dispatcher that works for the local 911 service went in to work. She was soaking wet and irritated. One of her co-workers asked her,"Is it raining yet?", as she walked into the comm center.
She stopped, looked at her co-worker and exclaimed,"Nope, I just took my fish for a walk!"
Here's your sign!

My name being Katina (thats right, not Katrina) is a blessing because telemarketers always get it wrong so when they ask, Is this Katrina XXXXXX? I say "NOPE"! and hang up!

Last night at the pub this guy walks up to me and asked if Jin was a service dog. Kind of obvious considering a green vest with red and yellow patch that says "Service dog". I told he him no, he's a service cat. Puzzled he left to come back a short time later and then asked "My girlfriend wants to know what kind of cat he is." *face palm*

The department secretary at work went to pick up 4 buckets of fried chicken for a luncheon meeting. When she went to the counter to place her order for the 4 buckets, the kid behind the counter asked "Is this for here or to go?"

The last time I used travelers checks was in Connecticut about 4-5 years ago, at a fast food restaurant. I gave the kid a $100 travelers check. She looked at it and called the manager (he looked to be about 12 YO). He told me he would have to call the owner. He told me the owner approved it, but asked what to do with it. "I told him just write the amount I spent on the back and return it to me." My wife elbowed me and told him the truth. Darn it.

OK I'll confess, and to those who believe they have never ask a dumb question, think about it, really? I'm sure I hold the record for the dumbest question ever ask on this website.

The kindly reply (which did not contain expletives) was "I think you had your cruise control on".

I still have the bruise on my forehead from hitting myself.

Use your imagination, I was dumb enough to ask it but not dumb enough to repeat it.
