I went back out to the coach this afternoon and dug the canvas out of the side compartment. I carefully folded and rolled it up in a neat package and carried it up on the roof of the coach. The silicon had dried up nicely on the metal roof so there was no slickness to worry about. The room was rolled out about two feet and just right for walking on and I carefully unrolled the canvas and started feeding the canvas into the two slots while bunching the excess up in the middle of the room and letting the excess just kina hang over the side of the room and proping it on a ''A'' ladder that was sitting at the end of the room. I eased the canvas into the groves and worked backwards toward the other end. All went well. When I passed the Slim Jim that I had taped to the AC cover yesterday I took a bite and it wasn't all that tough and still pretty good. I eased along pulling canvas slowly and letting it follow the groves easily. I got it all the way from one end of the room to the other without much trouble but I could no longer reach the Slim Jim easily. I stepped off on the ladder at the drivers door and eased down into the coach. I ran the room all the way out and the canvas was very slack on the roof. With my new strap wrench I turned one end of the tube about fifteen turns and installed the carter pin to lock it. I went to the other end and did the same with the new strap wrench and ''pinned'' it also. The canvas was nice and tight now. I was all proud of myself and I went back inside the coach and ran the room in and out several times to let the canvas kinda self adjust and form up to the rollers. I decided to run the room out just one more time to double check everything and I noticed a funny smell coming up into the coach. Hummmmm???? The living room sure is moving slow. The motor is making a funny noise also. There is a popping sound coming from under the coach near the motor. I went outside and checked the drive motor and it was hot as a iron and smelled like burning rubber. I said SHUX real loud and went inside, got me a beer from the reefer and watched Judge Judy.

I think I am gonna buy me a pup tent and a mule.......
Vets died for your freedom. What have you done for them?
