Poor Manning, he got hit in the head with a football in the first 12 seconds and played the rest of the game with a concussion.

TonyDi you summed it up perfectly. Thought the game between 49ers and Seagulls was far,far better. Except for the the final score of course.

Unless you're a Seahawks fan, it was a pretty boring game. Blowouts usually are.

Near the end of halftime I told DW I'm gonna wait till Denver gets the ball back and see if they're any better in the second half. If not, I'm going to bed.

10 minutes later I was headed to the bedroom.

Manning gets $15,000,000.00 a season and Russel Wilson gets $500,000.00 so maybe Denver should have gone for quality instead of quantity. Weird game for me yesterday as I am a fan of neither team but thought it would be a lot closer.

Wanna check the quality of the NFL season records set by Manning and the Broncos, then compare their "quality" to the other teams?

I live in the DFW area (not a Boys fan) but hear that about Tony Romo all the time. Great QB. Look at those stats. At the end of the day, only 2 numbers count - the scores. Aggregate statistics usually conceal more than they reveal and the Wizard was revealed yesterday. Or - it was just a fluke. Ya know what they say... On any Sunday. Better luck next time.

-------
On another note - a score like that - and income disparity as indicted by another above - are we ready to admit they are all paid way too much? I for one am. Perhaps lowering the astronomical rate entertainers (and some others) are paid would bring the price of RVs, a pound of bacon and a 12 pack beer down a little.

On any given a team can lose a game. Unfortunately for Denver if they had brought their best they wouldn't have beaten that team yesterday. I'm not a fan of either team but congrats to the Seahawks on a game well played.

You missed my point but that's OK. the statistics are just that statistics. The American Football champions are the Seattle Seahawks and that's all there is to it. I care not who one cheers for but the overpaying of players does not guarantee sports victories. Look at all the money Steinbrenner poured into the Yankees as compared the resultant championships. I was a huge Joe Montana fan and made mega bucks betting on his abilities. This does not negate the American penchant for overpaying their sports heroes.

The game was a bore. It was too one sided. The Puppy Bowl was much more entertaining.

I would probably have watched it but couldn't find the channel carrying it here north of the border (southeast of the other one)
