There are many Corps of Engineers lakes. Canyon, Proctor, Georgetown, Hords Creek. They are nice lakes and have very nice RV facilities. Depends on which part of Texas you wish to be in.

We like Inks Lake State Park. Good spots fill up this time of year. Seem people are going during the week and reserving ahead of time. Here's a spot We stayed at last year.

Check this one out on Lake Livingston. I haven't personally stayed here but have friends who really enjoy it.

Visit TX State Parks web Texas State Parks - Texas Parks & Wildlife Department
They have maps of all the parks and what facilities. For $70 you can buy a Park pass that will get you free admission for you and your group for a year, and 4 2nd day 1/2 price campings. They have some great parks
