Thanks Wayne. I was born just a tad too late to have lived the 40s, but I love the era just the same. As a tap dancer, the music is great....none better. I love the hairstyles and fashion, too. But, I gotta say I DO NOT want to do laundry on that wringer contraption in the picture. And, according to the stats, DH would be long gone, however, I'd have a few years left

Thanks that was awesome. I sent it to my Dad who was born in 43 and my step mom was born in 41. I thought they would enjoy. My Dad has ration stamps from his Mother. I showed this to my 17 year old son he was fascinated
by the cost of things. Now (LOL) he wants to build a time machine and go back to buy food.

They show one of the cars as a Chevy, But it is a Plymouth. The pepsodent tooth paste was an ad from the early 50s, a play on it was " I wonder where the old dog went when I brushed its theeth with Pepsodent." I was born in the late 40s
