The 3:30AM surprise

Couldn't sleep tonight, so came out to the forum to do some reading and was surprised at the amount of people that are here at 3:30am (Indiana time). If I counted right there are 82 boards/forums in the Community section alone and out those 82 boards there are 64 that have people viewing a thread on each. Some had only 1 person viewing and the most was 94 in the Class A Motorhome discussion. This place is definitely addictive and I have joined the late night crowd.

Lol. I guess it was all my mid watches (Navy) after 25 years and working nights after I retired. But you're right. Instead of me reading newspapers online now ... well here I am.

Thank goodness I don't have the problem of not sleeping!

Most of the time I go to sleep pretty fast, other times it may take as long as 30 seconds!

My wife says I could sleep standing up if you leaned me in a corner.

After 30 years in the Fire Service, if I wake up for any reason after 3 am, I am up for the duration. Coffee, more coffee, and the internet. There was something magical about 3 am when I was still on the job, and there still is something very intriguing even now that I am retired. I cannot explain it, but I love watching the sun slowly rise up over the mountains. Very spiritual.

Wifey was an ER RN and worked many night shifts. But, she did her time, and I will get a head-smack if I wake her up that early. Luckily, even the smell of coffee brewing does not wake her up.

How do you know how many folks are on IRV2 at 3 am? I will have to explore the site more. Maybe we need to start a 3 am club forum. . .

It looks like Indiana is like Idaho and has two time zones. If you are in the Eastern time zone of Indiana and I'm in the Pacific time zone, then we have 3 hr difference. Your 3:30 is only my 12:30 and I'm a late night person so it isn't too late at all.

Ah yes, around 3 AM the iRV2 forum starts to take on a blurry appearance as a late night fog rolls over tired eyes that have baked too long in the light of the computer screen. Then, after your iRV2 fix, you stand up and swear your butt is made of a blend of rayon/nylon 'cause it's bias plies don't have enough time to smooth out on that 'bumpy', short trip to bed. Been there, ...
