At :49, in the above clip, she was drafting Biffle, who was backing off, which may mean she wasn't at full throttle. Biffle moved up, leaving a car-wide hole that, given enough power and time, she could have fit into and advanced herself. She may have had the door slammed shut, but come on, it was 100 yd from the stripe. Plus, it would add more drama. and posts to this thread.

I realize it was a restrictor plate race, and they are down over 200 HP, but even she said she was at 1/2 throttle at times when drafting. Just bench racing, or she didn't have enough Cup experience.

I know, and Hendrick Motorsports does nothing but Chebs and big names and have just celebrated a 200th win that is climbing again. Though just before the release of the new gen-6 cars, that young fella beat out all the more aged and experienced drivers in a Ford

NASCAR probably need many yellow flags to keep her on the lead lap tomorrow

For all the conspiracy theories that go on around NASCAR, and while Danica is important to NASCAR these days, I don't buy into your statement if you're talking about the "mysterious" yellow flags.

If that was the case, NASCAR would *CERTAINLY* have called many more suspicious yellow flags over the past few years to get Dale Jr. back to victory lane.

While I question some of the yellow flags at times, it's refreshing to see *lately* the broadcast partners zooming in on the debris that causes those debris cautions.

Yeah, how dare a driver come to the Daytona 500 as a rookie, win the pole, and run in third for most of the race, and fail to win. If only a rookie would be prohibited from racing until they get more experience life would be so much better...

Yes, she hit the wall due to a right front tire failure - just like about 7 other drivers today - and then was clobbered on the drivers side by another car.

No she was not running up front, but was still running ok on the lead lap.
