Though we are freezing our bageezes off waiting for Spring the box elder bugs and Japanese beetles are coming out of hibernation. I think they just stop in their tracks then resume moving. And the sound of a dust buster really sends them moving. Multitudes one minute then gone. I don't even now what they eat.

They look a little like 'Stink Bugs' to me...found this...might help in prevention and getting rid of them. We had a Lady Bug infestation...constant vacuuming 'til they were gone. Bob

We had the box edlers in our stick house all winter long, would kill a dozen or so a day.
Oddly, they vanished about a month ago.

We got an infestation of both Box Elder AND Stink Bugs in October 2004 at the Williamsport, MD KOA. It took us 2 years to get rid of them and even the I found one or 2 a year until 2007.

Nothing against the KOA, it was an interesting place.
