The Truths:

There is no such thing as a "good" cancer.

Cancer doesn't always end when treatment does.

Cancer is not a death sentence.

You are never "too young" or "too old".

Cancer doesn't look the same on everyone.

Healthy people get cancer too.

Cancer is not contagious.

Just because someone doesn't look sick, doesn't mean they aren't.

It is exhausting.

Caregivers suffer too.

No one wants cancer-No one asks for it.

With 12 million people diagnosed in the US EVERY YEAR, THERE'S NO REASON

Feb. 4 is cancer day......

Those are true words. And they apply to other things too....

I recall a 9-1-1 call I answered, the caller described his symptoms (He might well have been reading the book in front of me the description was that good... Up to this point).. ending with:
It can't be my heart, I'm only 27

Well, I have had those symptoms described to me twice (the 2nd time by a roomate in hospital) And he went code blue about 10 minutes later.. Of course with a full team of hospital staffers present he survived.

So did the 27 year old, Thanks to EMS. And a Police dispatcher who got him safely parked while he still could do that and directed EMS to him.
