The Winter, She Is a Comin'

It's a beautiful day here in North Texas, with temps in the high 60s - low 70s. But it's not gonna last long: flock after flock of sandhill cranes have been passing overhead this afternoon, headed to the gulf coast. Wish I could go with them!

Going to be a heat wave here Wednesday, 54 degrees. Not to shabby for MI in December.

Started the morning with 30 degrees in Northern Virginia. Ended this pm in NC with a beautiful 68 degrees. We're chasing the warm heading south.

Yeah' the winter is a com in and we headed South last week. Arrived at our winter destination last Friday. We're in central FL and the temps have been mid 70's to the 80's so far. Looks like it's going to continue for the next 10 days anyway.

It's been cloudy and cool in Utah today.
We re expecting rain turning to snow for the next few days.
Low is supposed to be in the single digits for a couple of nights.

gfs1943, be sure and close the gap up there in north Texas. We need your help to stop that cold air from coming south.

Close the gap? Now, what good would a barbed-wire fence do? That's what we use for a gap!

You don't have winter in Texas who you trying to kid. Tomorrow here in SW MN we are suppose to get 5 inches of snow and 30 MPH winds. The high temp for Saturday will be 0 F. But, I do agree winter is coming soon.
