"Breaking News"

Our local TV channel uses this slogan on EVERTHING. They will report on the same news story for three days straight and it's always "Breaking News" or "This Just In". Their weather program is named "Storm Tracker" weather. If it snows more than 1" of snow they call it a storm and feel they have to give it a catchy name like "Storm Agnes".

Drama and more drama. Give me a break.

IMO that reply is "like.... awesome!", or as my mother used to say, "the cat's pajamas".

Whatever....

Reminds me of an incident years ago in military life. I was walking along with a CWO and we were approached by some enlisted. They saluted and said "Good Morning Sir!" and he replied, "And the same to you!"

I asked him why he always replied "And the same to you," and he said that when he was enlisted and had to salute an officer he would say, "Good morning sir!" and then follow it up in his mind with "You low life no good for nothing #(@*%^! " so he always replied "And the same to you."

So I say to you all, "And the same to you!"

I dropped many words from my vocab when we went F/T. Here is a rare repeat of of few.

Snow shovel.
Paint brush.
Lawn mower.
Real estate tax bill.

Words of epic proportion

My favorite...

Without a prior utterance and usually after a presumed act of self accomplishment is followed by a "That's what I'm talking about"!
