Thor Challenger 37 DT

Looking to purchase one of these babies. Any thoughts? We haven't yet seen one other than on the net, but seems the best for our needs in the research I've done. Was wondering if anyone knows if the couch opens up for sleeping. Would like any thoughts on ride, mpg, quality etc. Thanks

We just put a deposit on a 37GT. I think all the couches convert to a bed. Our has an air mattress and it looks like there is an electric pump. The ride will be like any F53, lots of sway and pushing from big trucks. You can fix this by installing the Cheap Handling Fix. (Search it on Irv2). The 37's are on a 22,000# frame, so there should be a factory installed track bar. You might also want to look at a steering damper, there are several available.

Don't know where you are located, but you should check out Motor Home Specialists in Alvarado TX. Their website is mhsrv.com. The MSRP on our 37GT is $159,000 and they are selling it for $105,911. This will be my second purchase from them, they are good people. Ask for Rodney, tell him Bruce Dickson recommended him.

The couch on the 37DT does not open. Other than the queen size bed you have the dinette that turns into a rather small bed but that's it. I just bought a 2013 model and we love the floor plan. This is my 3rd Thor product, the price, quality, and interior design are just great as far as I'm concerned.

I found that MHSRV offered a good price but a lower trade. I got $10k more from my local dealer then they offered and a purchase price of $104k for my new Challenger. I also bought it local so the only mileage it had was from the factory in Elkhart out here to NJ. From Florida you'll have the mileage from the factory to Texas and then back to Florida. You might consider adding up all the numbers and shopping locally.
