Woah. Not a good situation for sure. It appears he made a miscue of setting up on the beach at low tide. Then it came in

Or he could have been trying to turn around and just backed up too far.

I saw someone with there new(still had stickers in the side window) class A down on the beach at Galveston Island last fall. I guess ignorance is bliss, all it would take is one soft spot and he would be there.
Where is this?
Can you imagine the cost of a tow? If you can get some one to come out that has enough equipment to do the job.

Yeah that's for sure Bill. I would guess it would probably take something with tracks on it to pull.

If you haven't spent a lot of time on or around the ocean/Gulf, tides are not necessarily part of your thought process. A lesson like this one will likely change this guys perspective permanently! "Experience" is the result of mistakes like this one....

Ouch.

You just can't fix stupid.

And as an ex heavy wrecker driver, I could get him out with my 3 axle Pete, but the bill would sting him pretty hard. Winch/recovery jobs were billed hourly, and the clock starts when the truck leaves the yard, and runs until the truck gets back to the yard. Also, now is about the time that the guy learns that his "road service" (Good Sam, etc) does NOT cover off road recovery...

Yeah, he's gonna have a bad weekend.

I agree with Slim, that is going to take a big wrecker and likely a winch pull to get both the trailer and truck unstuck. The waves rolling in have caused the sand to pull out form under the trailer, and then his truck got buried trying to pull the trailer out.
