Tile Issue
I am still trying to narrow down a MH purchase and we have been looking at a 2008 Monaco Camelot, however the coach has a 12x12 tavertine tile, but the grout seems to be coming up. I addressed this with the seller and said it couldn't be fixed? Of course I know it can but has anyone seen this before and should we make the purchase. It's not going to get better.

My 08 monaco, a knight, also has 12" cerAmic tile. Except where i've dropped corel on it and cracked a tile, it is perfect.
Not sure if this is an answer tho....
I'd find it strange for a monaco to have a flexing problem...
If it were mine i'd try to fix it.
Is this an 8 bag or a 4 bag chassis?
I would never ever consider any moho on the roadmaster 4 bag chassis, no way.

Hi and welcome to the forum!
I have heard of tile and grout cracking occasionally due to flexing of the coach floor but sure would think what you describe can be fixed. Probably a messy job but should be very doable.

You can buy an additive for the grout that makes it more flexible.

Removing what is damaged is key otherwise what you replace will also do the same. There are numerous flexible grouts as well as silicone grouts available. I am from the "skool" that anything can be fixed !

I would be concerned about 12" tile on an RV floor cracking because of the potential for breakage due to floor flex (smaller tiles are less prone to breakage) but if the existing tile hasn't cracked by now, it will probably be ok. The existing grout can be removed and replaced with a flexible grout that won't need any sealing (it would be a good idea to seal the travertine, however). I would avoid the silicones, however. They are harder to apply and clean off the tile surface when applying and they just look cheap. There are far better flexible grouts available.
