Every night now the local Flying J has several RVs overnighting. I've seen as many as 18-20 at one time stopping for the night. Goes on for weeks, makes me want to go too. But I have to wait until Jan. We will be back in Florida this year.

Man I think I would find somewhere in the middle! Based on the strange weather down South.

Last winter was our first time as snowbirds oops "Winter Texans". We had such a good time at Victoria Palms in Donna, Texas, that we are going again this year. Maybe Florida next year.

Watching, watching the gas prices slowly slide in the downward direction. We'll be heading out after Christmas to ultimately settle around San Benito, TX. 'til March 1st. Stopping along the way to visit in Fort Worth. It was 22 degrees last year when we stopped there....sure hope it's different this year!!

Bizarre weather all around...but Texas weather is bound to be better than Indiana weather.

Travel safely!

We will not leave for the South, (Fla), until the 1st week of January, but by that time we will be so sick of the Mid West winter, even Florida gas prices will look good to us. We are hearing they are not coming down like they are around here. Figures.

We will be leaving Vancouver on Nov.14th traveling to Casa Grande via Klamath Falls, Reno, Las Vegas and Phoenis arriving on the 19th. We will spend a week there and then on to Hemet, Ca, a week. We will be leaving the coach there and driving home in the toad for the holidays returning shortly after Christmas. We decided to head down early enough to avoid the worst weather over the passes and catch a few rays before Christmas.

Tim and Donna,
We are planning our snowbirding for the winter of '06 and I'm wondering if you (or anyone else) can share your experience on crossing the Monida Pass on I-15 in early January? Snow? Ice? Are chains a good idea?
Thanks.
Sam

Yep; we too are fluffing up and pulling out around Nov 16th from Fergus, Ontario to head to Yuma (Del Pueblo) for 3 months and then scoot around wherever the winds aren't blowing after that.
