Tired of "pulling the trigger" ?

Does anybody but me think that the expression "pulled the trigger" has been grossly overused?

Must be time to "think outside the box".

Cliches come and go like deja vu all over again.

And when you come to a fork in the road, take it.

So, how will we stop it all?

I have a brother in law who continually calls me at work. (3-4 times per week) When I answer, every time he says "hey Tim, are ya workin' hard or hardly workin'?
I want to reach thru the phone and slap him!

With all the current debate about the 2nd Amendment find a new expression would be advisable.
