Congressmen should be made to wear uniforms like NASCAR drivers,...maybe then we could tell who their corporate sponsors are!

Sorry Bob E...did not mean to look like I edited your post...I was going to quote you -and say I would like to see how much the lobbyists would spend on their colors and logos, too.

You must remember one very important thing.
You elected your congressman and should have know about his or her "corporate sponsors".

I'm very pleased with my local Congressman. I've met him personally, followed his voting record on issues that are important me and read his website. I have no idea if he has corporate sponsors or even how to go about finding that out.

IMHO, the unfortunate part of our media today is that they seem unwilling to help us with that. I know that there are thousands of lobbyists in Washington. I also understand that there have been many initiatives to try to disclose their activities but those initiatives always seem to fail - and across party lines. Failure to disclose lobbyist connections is one of the central issues that always receives complete bi-partisan support.

Before we get too political, here, remember the forum does not allow political discussions. This thread has been skirting around it, but seems to be headed that direction.

Okay --- tongue-in-cheek --- maybe the government, since it could use a little cash right now, could "sell" to special interest groups the rights to put their names and logos on government buildings!

Example --- the US Capital could be known as "Comedy Central"

If pro is the opposite of con. Then what is the opposite of progress?

Ken is correct in pointing out that iRV2's rules do not permit political discussions.

They always lead to an inappropriate post.

Let's move on.

Thanks.
