I don't think anything is confirmed yet but 'rumor' is both locations... They don't own the land in Concord but they do in Marion.

Just heard back from my contact at Tom Johnson's. Marcus Lemonis is coming on board as an investor. There will be no change in management, signage or current operations. So far there are only rumors as to what they'll do with the infusion of capitol, the couple shared with me were a possible store somewhere out west, or perhaps Florida.

Isn't he the guy from The Profit TV show who turns small businesses around. I didn't realize TJ's was in trouble....or were they?

Yes, he is that guy, and I don't know that they are in trouble. Could be just looking to expand and Lemonis was the man with the $$$. Don't know. He (Lemonis) is also a venture capitalist.

According to my contact there, they had one of their best years in many years. Anyone who goes to the Concord location (at the race tracks) can see how busy they are and how cramped their service center is, even though it is big. They wanted to expand their service facility to meet demand but the owner of the adjacent land wants $$$$$$$$$$$$$ for land and building leases. Perhaps the outside investor is going to help them explore other options to expand their facilities.

Since the kids are not willing to carry on with what their dad built, Camping World will be taking over in the middle of Jan. 2015. I think that it will a step in the wrong direction, but hopefully that they will leave enough of the employees in place that Camping World want destroy the good reputation that TJ has built.
