The precision is great.

Watch the ending.

Thanks for posting that, Wayne.
I've been a fan of the Military Tattoo, even attended one, for quite a few years. That performance was incredible.

CORP!

Played 3 years Jr Drum & Bugle Corp. Kewanee Black Knights back in 68-72. Summers were busy and we busted butt. Even took a national VFW championship in our division. HOWEVER...

Compared to today's corps we wouldn't hold a candle. The competition is intense and with the aid of computers to make arrangements and choreography it has gotten even tougher. Drum Corp International (DCI) has gone hollywood. Big productions and lots of players.

I still love the pure drum line. Nothing against the big DCI productions that I really enjoy but drums make it happen.

In our travels I hope to attend a tattoo in Canada some time.

Brilliant. I saw the Tattoo regularly when I lived in Scotland. I challenge anyone to remain dry eyed when the finale fades to the lone piper high on the battlements of the castle.

I attended the Edinbourgh Tatoo a many years ago when we were living in the UK and the show was superb (Played a round at the St Andrews Old Course on the same trip north). I also have been to the Tatoo in Halifax twice and it is top notch also. Great entertainment with unmatched precision IMHO. Bands and drill teams were from different nations. While Edinbourgh might be a tough ride in an RV, the Halifax show is very reachable with an RV and there are a lot of cool spots to see nearby.

Show is the first week of July every year. Tickets can be purchased online. I plan to be there in 2014, I missed the show last year because of my wifes health.

After being in uniform for 31 years, that sort of show gets to me as if it was part of my DNA and I still get goose bumps when certain marches are played.

We will be there (Halifax) with the S.M.A.R.T. Maritimes caravan. Now I know what to expect, thanks Wayne!

Thanks Wayne, another pal sent me the same youtube and made me remember my days in High School, college bands, drum and bugle corps and army drill teams. Seems to me if we could just stay in step we thought we were doing okay. We Santa Clarans are pretty pround of our "Vanguards" Drum and Bugle Corps, but like said big business and productions.
