Please, folks, lets keep this thread only about sending prayers & wishing recovery to those involved. Anything else is and not respectful.
Thank you.

The news tonight stated that the temple shot that traveled through the front side part of the brain was the less life threatening. If the shot had gone differently from side to side or back to front she would have succumbed to that type shot. The section of the brain, according to the surgeon on the news was more likely to affect her speech and not her eye sight. It is still very early to tell. She is sedated, and every hour they bring her out of it and check her signs (hand grip), then sedate again.

Prayers for her, the others, and their families.

What a tragedy. Too many times, individuals who are mentally ill and others have recognized their potential for violence, the violence has occurred. I truly understand our need for individual rights but we must find a way to deal with these situations before they occur.

This is NOT a political statement! Please do NOT make this political or a gun issue.

This past weekend was a sad day in our Country as there was a very public shooting in Arizona. I am an Arizona citizen, and and RV'er, and things have changed. A mentally ill person did the unthinkable, to this I pray for the families and friends of all.

To all people and to all my fellow RV'ers God Bless

Unfortunately it is a political issue and a gun issue. Ignoring it will not make it go away! We do need to have a dialog in this country about the political rhetoric that has gone way too far. We don't need to have this dialog here as we are here for RV travel, but it has to happen. There is no question that there is a connection between some of the things our politicians have said and done and this horrible tragedy! We have to demand change. It's all about human dignity and respect!

I believe Sheriff Dupnik was correct when he said that we have 24 hours of media that focuses on politics in a disingenuous way. Some nut listens to this for hours each day and feels that he has to do something about it.

We live not far from where this took place and pass the spot on our way to a state park where we camp out on most weekends.

It is a very sad situation and we pray for the families of the deceased and injured.

Dupnik is a fool. He is doing what he accuses, without evidence, others of doing. The gunman was a nut and there are no proven political connections beyond his evil mind. He did it, blame him and ask the sheriff to shut up and investigate.

The gunman was known in the area, where was the sheriff then?

I am a retired law enforcement officer and I have had occasion to meet with Sheriff Dupnick. He is a fine man and takes his job very seriously.

We are getting off the subject of this terrible incident. I will not say anything more that may be political in any way. Sorry. Joe

Thank you Tim for this reminder, I do pray for victims of death & violence everyday.
As with the above mentioned this has changed us all, and will continue to do so. NOT politically, but in our hearts.

For those of you worried about the protesters showing up for the funerals of those who lost their lives in this senseless tragedy. The governor has signed into law today a new law creating a buffer zone for these funerals. I saw on a web site where the Arizona Hells Angles will also be in Tucson along with others to help shield the families from these trouble makers.
