Traveling through Canada with shot gun

I am traveling to Alaska with a shot gun going through Canada obviously and I have the required Canadian permit/form but my question is coming back in the states (US). are there any requirements/forms needed to bring my gun back into the US.

Thanks Gene

Isn't there a time limit on that Canadian permit? Then it has to be updated. Seems I read that somewhere. On edit I looked it up. Seems the permit is good for 60 days. So if you plan on being in Alaska longer than that it has to be renewed. The catch is, it has to be renewed in Canada. I'm not sure if you can get an extension by mail or phone. I went through all this in 2012, but decided it wasn't worth the headache since we were going to be in AK. for 4 mos. So I found a place to store my guns near where we crossed into Canada.

What about twin 20mm mounted on an all electric turret, but aft enough that is can't be fired from the helm?
