Traveling w/CWP What requirements needed Canada???

Hello All, new to this forum and am planning a drip to upper new york with side trips into canada. I have a CWP, but don't believe it does me any good in canada. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

This has been discussed many times here. Here's a link to some previous threads that should assist.

It is very easy to understand the requirements and regulations regarding handguns in Canada. They are not permitted.

Exceptions to this are extremely rare and unlikely to applicable to anyone who would have to ask.

If you have a Concealed Weapons Permit from any state, when you show your passport at the border crossing they will go online and search to identify that you have a CWP and question you very thoroughly and probably search your RV to be sure you're not carrying a hand gun.

It is just easier to live by the rules.
Sometimes they are frustrating, however
much you may hate them.

We, as Canadians, do not like many of the rules in the States,
we just have to grin and bear.
We even hate more coming home and facing the border crossing.

As others have said, don't even think about bringing a firearm into Canada. The penalties are extensive for doing so! ALSO, be sure not to have any ammunition on board, even if don't have the firearm on board to go with it. That too will bring a huge headache.
