For all you sky watchers, this month you will be able to see "2" moons. In addition there will be a moon eclips. On August 27 MARS will be a mere 34.65 miles from earth. It will be almost the size of the moon and will be best seen around 12:30 am. The next time this will happens is the year 2287. I havn't checked this out yet, but it was sent to me by an old military buddy who keeps up with this sort of stuff. I know the eclips is correct, but you may want to check out the 2 moons. Happy viewing s/Toby

Thanks Ron. I know that I have not read anything about this, but my old Coast Guard buddy is usually straight shooting. The paper did have the moon elclips scheduled this month, so I thought it might be li-git. I'll just go back looking at the stars s/Toby

Toby,

I just started stargazing in 2001 during the Leonid meteor shower and don't know why I didn't start sooner. I sure missed a lot of celestial events.

That site I linked to about the Mars Hoax is one of my favorites for keeping up with what is going on in the sky.

I hope we have a clear sky for the Moon Eclipse.

Ron

Wind

Have some mercy. I left the "M" off the miles. BTW, how much is the land in Wyo. I have some ocean front in AZ I would like to trade up to. Lot of beach but no water. s/Toby
