Types and different names of speed bumps?

As I travel around the country I see many different type of ground level speed control devices. I've also seen what I call a speed bump being called a speed bump, a speed cushion, a speed platform, etc.

Am I the only person amused by this?

Is that what some in GB would like to do to policemen or because they work even when the police are asleep? Probably both, but funny either way. Thanks! That a new on on me.

As for Judder Bars, I'm clueless, but I bet there's a story there.

Those will wake the dead if you hit them going more than 5 MPH. I imagine they could cause some damage to the car as well.

I could tell you what I call these things, But before I do understand they have done damage to my motor home, and every time you encounter one it damages your alignment..

So my name for them is..... Well, not something I'd care to type in a forum such as this as that kind of language is discouraged.

Gee Pete, Did you ever work for Livoina (MI) Public Schools?

They used to have a speed bump on the drive I used on Sat AM's to take the stuff in I needed to set up for my daughter's orchesterial rehersal (I set up the refreshments for intermission).

Till it snowed

Then they did not have a speed bump any more.... Or a snow plow till they replaced it.
