in bis nd we mised all the snow like the east of state which got plundered...but the cold is just to much..it was below zero again this morning..and cant wait for some normal temps..jeff

Love the ice fishermen! The lakes here sprout whole villages every winter. Haven't seen any of those fancy purpose built trailer ice huts. The ones around North Bay mostly seem to be home built and very creative!

Punxsutawney Phil 'indicted' in chilly Ohio
Apparently frosted over Ohio's cold start to the spring season, prosecutor Mike Gmoser accuses Phil of "misrepresentation of spring."
On Groundhog Day, Feb. 2, Phil did not see his shadow. By legend, that portends an early spring.
But in an official-looking document, Gmoser alleges that Phil acted "with prior calculation and design" to cause people to believe that spring would arrive early.

I grew up not to far from there in Chautauqua County NY. So I know they got some too.  Here in Dayton they're calling for several inches of snow over the weekend.

Winter Storm Watch for 4" of snow Sunday into Monday. Much more forecast over towards the OH/IN border.
I'd say we're paying for this time last year it being in the 80's.
