USAF Airshow

Hey all,
Just sharing here, Our family attended an air show at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield Ca. this past week end..Awesome, but the kicker was our nephew Randy who works on the maintenance of the "Thunderbirds" had a private promotion ceremony for "family only" to E6 in a hanger in front of jet 7 with his name under the canopy. The 'lead pilot of Jet 1 and Major' led the ceremony with some stats on our nephew that we never knew..way cool..We were extremely proud. The show was great and WOW those "Thunderbirds" were just amazing. We got to sit in their tent area which was in the front of the show...nice..We didnt bring a camera but had the phone, so here are a couple pictures...If you have not been to an Air Show..geez ya gotta see it once at least..it really impacts your feelings for this great country and our armed forces...and I say to them Thank You and "Ya All Rock"

Barney, Your nephew is a lucky man to have such a great job. I'm sure you are proud and rightfully so. I spent 1966 to 1970 in the Air Force and looking back now they where some of the best years of my life.
