I raised a glass today to all who have served and are currently serving!!

I thank you for your service to our country AND I also thank the families of those members of the military for their sacrifice during the veterans service.

On this date, 40 years ago, I was in the jungles of South East Asia. Not a popular war or cause!

Today I also raised a glass for all those that paid the ultimate price for our freedoms.

I know this is not "Memorial Day" but every day, every American should take the time to reflect on the price others have paid for YOU to live with the freedoms you have!!

Remember, All gave some but Some gave all!!

Thank you for all who have served! I ate free all day.

Wasn't that way in the 60's when I was in. Glad things
have changed.

Thank You!

Today at 11AM I was standing in front of the Veterans memorial on the courthouse square. I was the only person there (the ceremonies were elsewhere). I paused for several moments in prayer, hat off, head bowed. When I had finished and donned my hat, I started walking back to my truck. I had taken 3 steps when I heard a woman's voice, "excuse me, excuse me sir". I stopped and turned around to see a young college student extending her hand. She thanked me, gave me a hug, and I teared up. She restored my confidence in young people, that what a million American military died for was not forgotten.
