OMG WHY??? I saw a picture of a S-10 blazer pulling a big old fiver, they had the hitch mounted to the tailgate with some chains to help support the tailgate from just falling off. All I can say is WHY?????????????????????????????????

Some of them are staged shots, some of them.. Im not so sure.

The concept of a "Beetle" type vehicle with a 5er was introduced in a TV show many moons ago, I THINK it was called Highwayman but not sure, featured a truck that could become invisible.

Well one of his "Friends" had a small car size "Tractor" pulling his 5er, this actor replaced the original star on the TV show "Cover Up" (Can not recall his name, he's an Aussie) and when he first showed up he came into a bar holding a license plate, Did a great mad as hadies act, tore the license plate in half with his bare ands, Wanted to know who had a car with what we were to assume was that plate (it was not) finally one of the bar patrons fessed up.. he walked over dropped the two halves of the torn plate in the guy's lap and said "You left your lights on" and walked away.

I always liked that scene.. Thanks for making me recall it.

I actually had one of the VW's with trailer in the shop that I ran in the early 70's. It would pull it, but not to good. It was very unusual.
