Always have your door to the store...that is where the light, security cameras and other people will be visable. Door away from the store is the Dark Side most of the time. Don't be a sitting duck.

I never thought about this and it's a great idea. My wife said I always part where the store and light pole is closest to the door and she never understood why till now. And she is always right so I guess I do park that way.

Has anybody on the forum ever experienced a bona fide issue while overnighting at a Walmart? I don't mean somebody they felt looked suspicious walking past a couple times ... or a vehicle circling the herd a time or two. I'm curious if anybody has had a theft, experienced any intentional vandalism (damage from a wind blow cart doesn't count) - or a real confrontation?

One guy shot an intruder in his RV in a WM lot. I suspect a search will find these old threads.

Sounds like our Wal-Mart in NE. Ohio. which just announced their closing Jan. 28. (only one in Ohio) It's the largest Wal-mart I ever saw when they opened it 8 years ago. Junkest store you can only imagine. Store was always busy, but too much theft and messy store did them in. Two blocks from my house.
Too bad they (Wally World) caused every other business to close in that shopping plaza. Now it's doomed, 4 big box empty stores and 20 mom & pop stores. All closed.
Times we have Wally-docked, I take a look at the slope of the parking lot to avoid shopping cart damage and park near the outer curb, out of the way.

That's where you should be parking, regardless.
