According to their doc:

In addition to ADS-B data, we also display data from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This data provides full coverage of the airspace above the United States and Canada. However, this data is slightly delayed (up to 5 minutes) due to FAA regulations. Because of this delay, the planes generated from FAA data are of a different color (orange) than the planes generated from real-time data (yellow).

Be aware it won't show the president's plane. It flew over our town a few months ago and tracker didn't show it.
Probably for security reasons.

Also, there are phone/tablet apps for live flight tracking.

We live in a rural area. Don't see a lot of high altitude jets other than military. Once in a while on a clear night I see a passing plane and go to the tracking site and I am able to get the information on the flight. That is cool!

Welcome to my world a few years back. I was a senior air traffic control supervisor when I retired after 35 years. That is the data stream we used to control air traffic albeit we broke it down in to usable sections for the controllers.
