I just got warned off from the Albuquerque FreeCycle.

we wanted to write and let you know that it would be a good idea to keep your wanteds in balance with your offers. Not only does that encourage people to want to fill your requests, but it helps the group continue to grow and stay healthy
It seems that I have posted too many times that I "wanted" something. Forget that I actually never got a response to my wanted requests. Apparently you are supposed to post more "Offer"s than "Wanted". Also our local (Socorro) Freecycle has very little activity, nor do the other towns, so I watch the Albuquerque FreeCycle there. We are up there about once or twice a week. So here's a heads up to those of you who may be looking to use Freecycle. Since many of us are full-time RVers and have little excess" to put on Freecycle, it seems that we are not really welcome to post Wanted posts unless we have a pile of stuff to post as "Offers". BTW, I have posted very few Wanted (about 3 or 4). and I have posted a few things as offer. I believe I will stick with CraigsList now.

YUP - another case of "this is OUR ballpark - play strictly by OUR (often arbitrary and erratically applied) rules - or else LEAVE!"

Too often, dictatorial outfits like that forget it's the many USERS who make their organization work, NOT the too-frequently pompous and self important overseers...
