If I'm not mistaken, the manual with our F53 chassis calls for 87 octane and only 10% at most.

I was told by several mechanics the alcohol drys out the rubber parts in fuel systems components. This was with just E-10 can just imagine what the E-15 will do to the rubber parts.

I also thought you get less power and mileage with the blends anyway. So will this E-15 be even worse for our mileage which sucks already.

According to the video, the fuel is cheaper but you will be purchasing it more frequently.

OMG I watched the video I'm terrified of this stuff. I will NOT put it in any of my gas engines. I don't even want to find out what a fuel line for my RV would cost.

So only put it in your vehicle if it's made after 2001 and if it says in the vehicles manual that you can use it. Since it's clearly marked at the pump this shouldn't be a problem. After all you don't put diesel in your gas engine either.

I just started to watch the video. Guys, it was on Fox News. Never believe anything you hear or see on Fox News. Not, that I'm denying the claims that it shouldn't be used in cars not made for it!!! But Fox is just trying to sensationalize it because,,,, well, that's what they do. Don't let them scare you.

Good plan but there are several problems with it.

First E-zero is getting harder and harder to find...
Second, in days of old you could rely on the warning sticker on the pump.. I am told that is no longer required. (DO not know if that is true)

Third, again it is getting harder to find.

As to the claim "There is plenty of time to educate drivers"

I have been trying to teach one person simple tasks like closing the refrigerator door for more years than I care to adimt.. and she still has not got it.. How I'm ever going to educate her on E-15... Is beyond me.

I think you can pretty much say that about almost every "news" media out there, but especially MSN.

You won't have to buy it...do learn to differentiate at the pump.

Hope everybody knows how to read the labels there...
