Also posted on TRVN but just too gain more exposure I said:

Well, I gave up on Good Sam mainly because in a quote 3 weeks after the expiration date of a previous quote the price was over $1000 higher, AND, their policy is a non inclusionary thingamagig meaning if the failed item is listed in the policy they will cover it else,-- NOT.

Wholesale has presented what appears to be a good value from StarRV administered by Interstate Dealer Services, Inc. in Atlanta. It appears to be a quality product - do any of you have it and if so, any claims experience.

My gut tells me to blow off any thought of an Extended Warranty and personal experience over 6 years with SOB tells me not to waste the money but, -- this thing may get downloaded to a kid one of these years and if so he will get a really good deal if I buy the extended warranty for him/them now.
Any StarRV customers out there?

I bought mine from WholesaleWarranties.net out of California. They have different levels of coverage. I just want the peace of mind in case the Allison, the CAT or other big ticket item decides to go south without me.

I have Interstate Star Diamond coverage and have been happy with the claims process. The majority of my claims have been approved as soon as they were called in. One claim took about a week as it was a large claim.

After swearing I wouldn't do it, I signed up with Good Sam today. It's expensive, has a higher deductible @ $500, isn't exclusionary and doesn't have consequential damage... But I could pay for 3 months coverage at a time and not be locked or pay for time I'm not using the mh. 3 months of gold coverage for my coach is $600 and that includes their road hazard coverage. In 3 months from now I can pay monthly, pay for another 3 months, or cancel. Since this is a "new to me" coach, and I am making a 2000 mile trip in a couple of weeks, I will learn a lot about the condition and whether to keep the coverage going...

I wish two things for you. 1 , you never need it . 2, if you do , they pay.
Good luck.

In doing my research... which spanned 3 months... I found that most of the ESP companies have numerous complaints for not paying claims or giving people a hard time... Good Sam seemed to have "less", although not perfect by any means... and an introductory cost I can live with. If I have a valid claim and GS doesn't pay, I will learn a valuable lesson and am out $600 at this point. At least it's not $3000. Like I said above, this is more for personal peace of mind being our "maiden voyage". The best thing that can happen is that I never need it!
