Watch out for flashlight ad on iRV2

There was a side bar ad for a "Military grade" 2000LM flashlight on the IRV2 site.
Being that you can never have enough flashlights, I took a look.
It was a CREE LED, zoomable, and used Lithium Ion Batteries.

On special for $56.

Just to compare, I checked ebay. I got a 3000LM flashlight that was basically the same for $9, + $5 for a pair of batteries and a wall charger. The light uses 1 battery.

By the way, these single CREE led lights are great because they focus very well for distance.

Just a cautionary note to always compare prices.

Regards,

Dan

I bought two of them as well as the rechargeable battery sets. They are OK and useful for me since I do night security, but I suppose I could have gotten cheaper ones by looking further.

AMAZON have thousands of different LED flashlights for around a buck each to several hundred dollars. Some are excellant, others - junk with most in between per the reviews. I just bought a $20 CREE for the last 'outage' of the day with the dogs. It uses either the rechargeable 18650 lithium or 3 AAA cells. So far, it's been a great light with a long distance beam.

also remember the ads and subsequent sales help pay for this forum.
unfortunately there is no free lunch anymore.

I am glad that both the $15.03 yearly iRV2 Supporter fee that I pay and the ads help pay for the forum.

I am also glad that my Ad Blocker and Ad Blocker Plus blocks all the ads from any web site that my browser brings up so I wasn't even tempted to purchase the expensive flashlight.

Amen to Adblocker which reduces pop ups to virtually nothing.
Not sure if those pop ups that so many see actually help the forum's well being - and thanks for the reminder that I need to contribute too.
