I placed nails in a coke, and nothing happened. Days later I had nails that were still nails. I even placed a piece of steak into a glass of coke for 24 hours. It was still a steak the next day, but a little soggy. Don't ever use coke to wash the film off windows. It leaves a sugary mess on the windows. Use good window cleaners instead. Those wiper blades get messy with coke spread around them. Soon as I kill something on road, and bleed it, I'm going to spread coke over it. I bet I get a sticky mess on the road. Where did they come up with these ideas for coke? I thought it was for drinking. Does 7Up do the same stuff?

Hey guys- like sfrantz said, I told ya I could not believe this. And it did provoke some thoughts, didn't it? ( not necessarily good ones for me tho-huh?) Actually, y'all took it easy on me- and I appreciate the levity.

As I read this ,I'm drinking a Diet coke.
For the past few years the Florida schools have been taking carbonated beverages off campus,and putting in "healthy fruit drinks" ...ever look at the label on a bottle of juice?

Coke Zero - isn't that just like water?
Probably about 60 ounces a day, or more.
Can you say, "Addicted."
Drinking one now, as I belch it is still good.
My other preferred drink is beer. It only has a few percent of alcohol. Isn't the rest water?

Been drinking more water than Soda in the past couple years, but not more than when I'm thirsty.

This is the one that SCARES ME !!!!!
Ban Di hydrogen Monoxide
The Invisible Killer
Dihydrogen monoxide is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and kills uncounted thousands of people every year. Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide do not end there. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage. Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who have become dependent, DHMO withdrawal means certain death.
Di hydrogen monoxide:
* is also known as hydroxide acid, and is the major component of acid rain.
* contributes to the “greenhouse effect.”
* may cause severe burns.
* contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape.
* accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.
* may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes.
* has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients.
Contamination Is Reaching Epidemic Proportions!
Quantities of di hydrogen monoxide have been found in almost every stream, lake, and reservoir in America today. But the pollution is global, and the contaminant has even been found in Antarctic ice. DHMO has caused millions of dollars of property damage in the midwest, and recently Louisiana.
Despite the danger, di hydrogen monoxide is often used:
* as an industrial solvent and coolant.
* in nuclear power plants.
* in the production of styrofoam.
* as a fire retardant.
* in many forms of cruel animal research.
* in the distribution of pesticides. Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical.
* as an additive in certain “junk-foods” and other food products.
Companies dump waste DHMO into rivers and the ocean, and nothing can be done to stop them because this practice is still legal. The impact on wildlife is extreme, and we cannot afford to ignore it any longer!
The Horror Must Be Stopped!
The American government has refused to ban the production, distribution, or use of this damaging chemical. In fact, the navy and other military organizations are conducting experiments with DHMO, and designing multi-billion dollar devices to control and utilize it during warfare situations. Hundreds of military research facilities receive tons of it through a highly sophisticated underground distribution network. Many store large quantities for later use.
In case you didn’t realize what this article is about,
Dihydrogen monoxide is a less common name for water. Yep, good ‘ole H2O! This just goes to show how something can get all blown out of proportion

That certainly is true, and the process is greatly speeded up if the person uses chewing tobacco.

Snopes usually has an explanation and/or reference. From there you can decide for yourself.
