Amen. Good thing our national image abroad has become for favorable since then. Traveling the world, I've sensed first hand an improvement in sentiment towards Americans, following that awful day. It got noticeably even better, after 2008. Since we don't allow politics here at iRV2, I'll just say it was because of our good looks (with of course RV'ers leading the pack)

BTW, I was a captain out of Dulles that morning, for American Airlines. 'Scared the dickens out of family and friends... Up in Boston, a buddy had his takeoff clearance cancelled 'cause he was slow in moving forward. The controller asked him to stop for a minute, so he could allow a commuter land first; then, instead of getting his takeoff clearance, my buddy was told to immediately exit the runway and return to the gate. There, a commotion was heard in the cabin and a flight attendant said something like, "These rude young middle eastern-looking men pushed past everyone and ran up the jet bridge..." That was a close call.

Wow! That was too close!
