We need a couple of discussions that cause us to use our brains, so they don't atrophy. Aren't we getting bored with threads that provoke no brain waves. We have had some great thought provoking conversations on this board. Lets solve the mysteries of life.

I have no problem with that. I frequent a couple of auto related websites and have found that atrophy has set in on most of those sites as well. I've tried there as well and often the thread gets sidetracked and tempers fray if there is any controversy. Throw out a subject and let's try raise a good discussion - non political or religious is best

Why do we sing "Take me out to the ball game" when we are already there?

Why are they called "stands" when they are made for sitting?

Why is it called "after dark" when it really is "after light"?

Afternoon, after sunset, so after dark ties in logically.

Why do we park on driveways, and drive on parkways?

"Why do we park on driveways, and drive on parkways?"

Now that is thought provoking!

OK Try this,

Three travelers register at a hotel and are told that their rooms will cost $10 each so they pay $30. Later the clerk realizes that he made a mistake and should have only charged them $25. He gives a bellboy $5 to return to them but the bellboy is dishonest and gives them each only $1, keeping $2 for himself. So the men actually spent $27 and the bellboy kept $2. What happened to the other dollar of the original $30?

Erronious logic.

Cost of room + ammount stolen by bellhop = $27 the amount paid by the men

25+2 =27
