Weekend Drag Racing

This was my first trip to the strip using the CC for camping at the track and for towing my race car. Everything went well with the coach and car. The CC is great for dry camping with its large fresh water tank. My old chevy worked well and ran a 13.07 in the 1/4 mile. Not bad for a big old grocery getter. It was even pulling the front wheels off the ground.

Its about 3800 lbs I am running a small block 350 with a old skool B&M 144 blower. I have a T56 6 speed stick in it. It has a narrowed 9 inch rear diff with 4;56 gears mounted to a TCI 4-link. The car has original paint and looks pretty mild. I love teasing the kids around here with their new Mustangs and chargers. I am sure they head back to the dealers telling them something is wrong with their car cuz some old guy in a big old car just dusted them off lol

No better place than a drag race with your motorhome and race car...

done that a few times myself.....I'm in the black formula. My buddy blew the tires off his vette. I've shaved about another .4 off this time since then. I was running a very conservative tune here and launching soft.

not sure how long it's been since you've been on the streets running but there's some fast cars floating around out there now. Probably won't run into many f-bodys that are slower than mid 12's on the street and the same goes for the new stangs.....11's would probably be more accurate. The challenger hellcats are no joke either....legit 700+ HP in street trim. My brother has an 06 GTO supercharged putting down 620 to the wheels. He hasn't tracked it but that should be a low 11 car....maybe high 10's if he gets lucky but those cars launch terrible with the IRS.
